Weeknights can often be a hectic time for any family. Between work schedules, after-school activities, homework, and appointments – sometimes there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to find the time to prepare a good meal to sit down to.
In our house, tacos are one of the easiest things to throw together – and everyone loves them! Traditional tacos are a staple for us, but every now and then, I want to mix things up and try a different take on our usual taco dinner. This week’s PickleBee Finds tackled finding new ways to add a little shake up to traditional Taco Tuesday.
There’s no shortage of ways to jazz up your typical ground beef tacos with different toppings, spices, and shell varities – but I wanted to find some recipes that would really add some dimension of flavor, and use different ingredients than what I usually would. My favorite food bloggers didn’t disappoint!
1 – Steak Tacos with Chipotle Aoili – from Three Kids and a Fish
The hubs loves steak, so the idea of grilling steak to make these tacos is perfect for us. The Chipotle Aoili would add a nice flavor kick, too!
2 – Cuban Chicken and Black Bean Tacos with Pineapple Salsa – from Recipe Runner
Whenever I’m looking for a new, healthy recipe – Danae at Recipe Runner is one of my go to blogs! And seriously, how amazing do these tacos look?! I love love love pineapple, so that sold me, but I love the addition of black beans, too.
3 – Soft Beef Tacos – from My Name is Snickerdoodle
If tacos aren’t a part of your usual menu, I went in search of a good “basic” taco recipe to share with you – and this recipe is a good one! It’s very similar to what I use at home, with much more precise instructions on making your own taco seasoning than I could give you.
