I spent last weekend making a lot of party foods, as we had 3 (THREE!!!) birthday parties at our house for Pickle. It was exhausting, and I think I may have lost my mind a bit – but it was a great time and was good to reconnect with family a bit. One of the ways I try to keep some of my remaining sanity is to make some things that are so simple that it requires little to no thought. My Party Meatballs are exactly that… so simple it isn’t even a recipe, it’s just dumping three things into the slow cooker.
I wanted to give this to you as a bonus “recipe” this week, in case you don’t know this trick. You may be skeptical, but I assure you, these are delicious, everyone loves them, and they are pot luck PERFECT! I always take them in to work for our annual holiday potluck, and they get gobbled up.
All you need is…
Grape jelly, chili sauce, and frozen meatballs. Yup. That’s it.
Put the jelly and sauce into the crock pot. Mix it with a spoon.
Add in the frozen meatballs.
Mix it all up, and cook it until the balls are heated through.
I usually use turkey meatballs, but any frozen meatball will do. You can also change up the jelly you use too! I have used Orange marmalade before and they were also pretty tasty.
