Mushroom Tart

Ingredients
  1. 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  2. 16 oz white mushrooms, thinly sliced
  3. 1 clove garlic minced
  4. 1 tbsp butter
  5. 1/4 cup white wine
  6. 1/2 cup cheese - swiss or mozzarella
  7. Salt & Pepper to taste
  8. 1 tsp dried thyme
  9. 1 can refrigerated croissant dough
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Slowly cook onions in 1 tbsp olive oil on low heat until beginning to caramelize then add mushrooms and butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook slowly over medium heat until mushrooms have cooked through approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Add wine and thyme.
  5. Cook until liquid has reduced.
  6. Mix in cheese.
  7. Roll croissant dough out into a large rectangle on a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Spread mushroom and cheese mixture over the dough.
  9. Bake at 375 for approximately 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool and slice.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature.
