Ditch the packaged ranch packets for this easy to make, and better tasting homemade Ranch Seasoning – without all the processed ingredients and MSG.
My family loves ranch dressing (me being the exception), and many of my favorite recipes I’ve found on Pinterest seem to call for those ranch seasoning packages… but I don’t love all the “junk” that’s in them. We have some MSG sensitivities in my family, and ranch dressing and seasoning usually always contains MSG… and I don’t like having to warn people of its addition when I make food for family get togethers and parties.
What’s a girl to do? Make her own, of course!
The thing is… it’s so simple to do! It only take a few minutes, lasts for months in the freezer, and tastes so much better than the packaged stuff. Plus, when the ranch dressing urge hits Pickle or the hubs, it’s simple to whip up a batch using this and a few other ingredients.
I mix everything right into a mason jar. Just add in all the ingredients, give it a good shake, and keep it in the freezer! Seriously, it’s that easy.
I use powdered buttermilk because I think it gives this the biggest flavor punch, but if you don’t have that or can’t find it, powdered milk works as well.
Simply use 3 tablespoons of this anytime a recipe calls for a ranch seasoning packet!

- Use 3 tbsp to substitute for one packet of ranch seasoning.
